Dan Jamieson is Editor in Chief of Registered Representative magazine (circulation: 90,000), the Irvine, California-based monthly trade journal for stockbrokers. He has also served as a staff writer and managing editor over his 13-year career with the magazine. In 1994, he was named as a trustee to the Securities Industry Association's (SIA) Securities Industry Institute, a highly regarded professional development program held yearly at the Wharton School of Business, and has served on the SIA's Investor Education Committee as well. Prior to joining Registered Representative, Dan was a broker with Dean Witter Reynolds in Orange, California.

Dan is a member of the Independent Broker-Dealer Association, Inc. and in 1997 he was named as a board member for the National Association of Investment Professionals.

Dan has been a volunteer instructor with Orange Coast College and Coastline Community College in Orange County, Calif., where he's taught investing basics to hundreds of county residents. He is a frequent speaker at investment and industry gatherings, and is regularly quoted in the media as an industry expert.

He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a degree in economics, and resides in Huntington Beach, Calif.
