The Independent Broker-Dealer Association
(IBDA) was incorporated in 1991 under the former name of the Long Island
Broker-Dealer Association as a Not-For-Profit Professional Association and
presently has 250 members in 17 states.
IBDA is dedicated to servicing the needs of independent/regional broker-dealers. Although such firms constitute the overwhelming majority of NASD members, for too long they have been denied the same level of consideration accorded by the regulatory community to larger, more national firms. Consequently, regulatory initiatives often proceed without the meaningful input of independent/regional broker-dealers, and, as a consequence, our businesses and the needs of our clients suffer. |
